Natural face scrubs

How to Smooth Skin with a Natural Face Scrubs

It is easy to have smooth skin, and you do not have to pay a fortune to buy the product at department store prices. There is a way to make a really simple and effective scrub by following the advice as suggested. Use it twice a week to get finer skin texture.

Get brown sugar. Make sure it is not golden. The high blackstrap molasses content helps to exfoliate, like a chemical peel (in a very mild sense). Wet your face only, don't wash it yet. Add a little water to the sugar, (about half a cup in a small bowl) but not enough to dissolve it.

Scrub your face in gentle, wide, circular upstrokes. When the sugar is dissolved and worked well into your skin, just let the paste rest on your skin. Rinse and wash after about 10 minutes. Use toner if you wish.

Moisturize. This cannot be emphasized enough, no matter how young you are. Use day and night cream, as wrinkles can start as early as age 20.

Tips

  • Use a facial scrub that dissolves (like sugar) instead of using micro beads is better for your skin.   Micro beads can become lodged in your pores.
  • There are many facial scrubs sold that might work just as good or better. Try them, if this does not seem to work.
  • For oily skin try using kosher salt, ground aspirin (bonus of getting rid of acne) or baking soda
  • For dry, sensitive skin try oatmeal or cornmeal
  • Try St.Ives Apricot Scrub. It softens your face and leaves a delicious smell. But it also cleanses skin
